Anti-Americanism In The UK
I'll leave off starting new threads linking to other websites for a while after this, I promise
My other half certainly hasn't (quite the opposite usually). But has anyone else has any experience of this problem?

Also, I'm sure that the following line has nothing to do with her wanting to get some publicity
The former model moved to London a year ago, where she is setting up her own business, and has been surprised at how some people have reacted to her nationality

Shocking!!! :scared:
"I appreciate that British people often don't understand why I have so much pride"
........... "I cried for two days, then booked a flight back to the States. I felt so hated, I needed to be with people who loved me."

Having said all this though some of the comments posted under the article are a bit out of order.
How is it possible to blindly hate everyone from a given country (apart from the french obviously)

She lives in London so probably meets lots of different people everyday; she's bound to run into the odd twat now and again who's willing to get into a punch up because he thinks she's the face of the American administration.
I think the Iraq war has been a big turning point; everyone used to just think Yanks were fat, arrogant and ignorant, but now you get all kinds of people who happily slag off the Yanks behind their backs because they heard something in the news.
IMO most of it is misplaced, spouted my ignorant people and encouraged by politics.
The Brits and Yanks are much like each other and it's in our interests - again IMO - to stick together through these disagreements.

I think its a load of bollocks. I lived in London for 5 years and even back in 1996 when I first lived there, there was every race, colour and language under the sun existing in London. No one batted an eyelid if you were speaking swahili or scouse. I agree if she travels on the tube all the time she's bound to run into scumbags, the tubes always full of 'em.
I used to be a journalist, believe me, practically everything you read is censored, exaggerated or just completely made up, and this smells of BS.
The reason I got out of Journalism in the first place.
