I hate that pepto bismol ad too- I hate seeing it on TV with all those people linedancing to the sad words, and I hate hearing it on the radio as well. I just hate the fact that ads usually last 10 mins and then they'll put the actual TV show on for about 3 mins, then go to ads again...Makes 30 min shows last an hour!!

The one that gets me is the Brinks alarm system.
If the lazy cow got off her arse and emptied the mail box and picked her papers off the drive then her house wouldn't look empty would it!
Also the alarm goes off when the guy smashes the window glass!!!!???
Is this a new system that detects glass breakage?
I always thought that the sensors detected a window or door opening.
And why would she have it on when she's in the house

That whole series of Dr Pepper ads is also getting annoying - the ones in which stars from different musical genres (hip-hop, R&B, Latino) sing about how Dr Pepper "salutes individuality". ????
What particularly sets my teeth on edge is the bit in the "country" version when Reba Mcintyre screeches "gives life a personality!!".

Anyone remember the one from last year where Santa breaks into the house and the little kid appears and says "So whatcha git me?" I think it was for Verizon. It had a little helper dressed up as an elf outside on the phone. Drove me frigging mad......

I thought that might happen with TIVO eventually as they can tell what programmes are recorded and what bits are fast forwarded and cut out etc, stands to reason that the advertisers were going to have some involvement there.
One ad that I hate is the one for Milligers (could be a local thing) but they are two high pitched american old women who walk around the store screaching about how wonderful all the tat is. At the end the more annoying voice of the two says...and your gonna love it!!! Well I dont.
The other one is for Medicare where the lawyer speaks directly to the camera as if addressing a client and says you medical bill was 200,000 so were going to have to sell your house, cars, consolodate your loans, you'll need to get a second job etc. but then adds but apart from that everything is good!

I heard that bloody Pepto-Bismol ad again this morning while I was eating breakfast, it really puts me off my food.
There's an ad here in Chicagoland for a Mazda garage on Route 19, the song goes:
"We are the Mazda Machine, out here on Route 19...<snip>....know what I mean" - or something similar.
It has someone in the background doing the robot dance, while a monotonous orange skinned guy talks about their great Mazda prices. The whole thing stinks of cheese.

The advert for sleeping pills warns "may induce drowsiness" - well I ****ing hope so or there would be no point in taking the bloody things.
Any alcohol advert advices "please drink responsibly" why? 1. Whats the point in that and 2. What do you care how we drink as long as we drink lots of your product. Whats next, McDonalds saying "please eat responsibly".
Would you join "an Army of One" - you'd have to do everything, guard duty, kitchen duty, fight illegal wars, when would you rest? And why does the US only have one soldier - the rate they are dying in Iraq it will be a self fulfilling prophecy!
Has anyone seen that advert for the new teeth flosser which advertises how easy it is by showing how difficult flossing your teeth is now! How ****ing retarded are these people that they have problems flossing their teeth! For petes sake if you can't floss your teeth you really shouldn't be let out the house without a helmet on.
That will teach you to ask what annoys me!!!!
