6 Months on Passport and ESTA
My parents are coming to visit later in the year. They both have passports and ESTAs with the same dates. During thier stay the passports will tick over the '6 months remaining' mark. Only by a week or so.
They dont want to renew the passports before travelling, as they would then not tally with the details on the Esta.
Should they:
a) Renew passports, and ESTA.
b) Renew neither.
c) None of the above?
Seems like an obvious thing. Couldnt find any instance on this board tho.

Re: 6 Months on Passport and ESTA
Assuming passports & ESTA are valid for the maximum period allowable under the VWP (90 days) then the answer is B (or C as that is pretty much the same as B!)

Re: 6 Months on Passport and ESTA
There isn't a 6 month valid passport requirement to travel to the US.
If the passport is only valid for less than 90 days, then the passport only gets stamped for the length of the passport.
So the simple answer, as the folks above have said, B.
