Thank you all for the suggestions.
I don't fancy the pizza delivery thing, as I think you have to use your own vehicle here, and that would defeat the purpose of the second job. I'm also a wuss and would be scared stiff of getting mugged!!
There are some quite nice restaurants near me so I think I'll try a few of those later in the year. No-one's hiring right waiting staff now as the kids are off school and they all have the jobs.

Do you have any proofreading or copyediting skills? You might be able to find some freelance work in that area. You'll probably have to take a test.
It's what I do to earn extra money in my "spare" time, but copyediting is also my full-time job.
