Good grief. Imagine if they had gone off. Probably didn't go off because they shut the cell towers in the area down to prevent the possibility of other devices being triggered by cell phone.

I heard phones were down, if it was a positive decision then they must have been quick out of the blocks, kudos to whoever made such a difficult decision.

I saw some quotes from Sprint saying they hadn't turned off their service and any problems were likely due to network congestion with people trying to contact each other & loved ones elsewhere to reassure them they were ok.

Pretty sure it was reported that they had the local area towers shut down, but then what is reported and what is actual fact are sometimes different. If they were not shut down it would seem to me to be a reckless error. Remote detonation by cellphone is an all too common tactic.
