For those of you who are hurting b/c of the current exchange rate, there was an interesting newspiece on Radio 4 this morning. I can only remember the gist of it (well, it was 6:30 and I had just been woken up by the clock radio!), but they were suggesting that there may be pressure to devalue the pound in order to avoid negative effects on trade (i.e., exports) of the pound being too strong against other currencies.

They said there was going to be a longer segment at 8:30 a.m., so if you know how to replay Radio 4 via the Web, you might want to get on and fast forward to the 8:30 news segment.
