Wrong adjutment code: I-90 questions
I received my PR card with wrong adjustment code: FX6 instead of IR6. I went to the local office and they asked me to send my I-90 application to the LA but now I am looking at the application instrtuctions and it says mail it to the service center which issued the card. So here I am torn between whether to follow local office instructions (which I always doubt) or instructions on the form itself.... My service center is Nebraska.
Now please tell me what to do?
Do I need to send the incorrect card with my application?
I would appreciate your advice and sharing your experience (if any).
Kind regards.

Re: Wrong adjutment code: I-90 questions
Ok.... I had it fixed at my local office.... I went in there again, talked to them in more detail, they look through my file, asked me to have 2 photos and FP taken inside the office, had me filled out I-90, and off it goes! They stamped my passport with a 1-yr stamp with the correct code - IR6.
Now, my AOS approval date is Nov 4, 2003. Based on this date, I think I can file N-400 probably around after Aug 4, 2006.
Do I have to wait for my corrected GC to arrive before I can file N-400?
Thanks!

Hi you should file your I-90 to the Service Center in your case
Nebraska.
Just go to www.uscis.gov and you would see the new procedures, they were
changed on September 8. Just in case you can’t fine the online
address here you go.
http://uscis.gov/graphics/publicaffa...-90_050908.pdf
It definitely states that you should file with the Service Center.
Send your I-90 with supporting documents and you original GC this way
they would be no delays. Good luck
The Above Information is general commentary
