School starts at age 5. Depending on the city, the school and the age the start and end times vary a lot and could start as early as 7 letting out for the day at 1. Some districts around here are so hard up for money that they have cut certain grades to 3 or 4 days a week at times. So even at school age you may still need some sort of daycare.

I'm not aware of any school districts teaching travel and tourism..What exactly gets taught? And do schools in the UK teach such subjects?
