Exactly how do I add my wife to my deed? The house is paid for and in my
name. We are in Florida, but any help would be appreciated.
People have told me to file a Quick Claim Deed, but I am not selling the
house and she has no financial interest in it.
Also, since she is not a USC what are the problems with that?
Thanks.

I work for an attorney in New York State with a practice primarily in real estate. I would be simple enough to have an attorney in Florida prepare the necessary paperwork adding your wifes name to the Deed

Does your wife have a social security number yet?

In NYS there are two other forms that are required to accompany the Deed when it is recorded in the County Clerk's Office - one of these forms requires a social security number of each party on the Deed.

I don't know if the State of Florida has such a form that is required when you transfer real estate. You could probably call your local County Clerk's Office where the papers would be filed and recorded & they could shed some light on the subject.
