Info received with GC did not say it was necessary to inform "anyone" but colleague said we have to update DL and SS cards. Have been on both websites to no avail. Anyone know if this is true? Is there a timescale? thank you!

SS yes, you'll receive a new card without the "valid only with work authorisation" on it.

DL depends on the state.

If you currently have a SS card which has the "needs work authorization" legend, you'll want to go to the SS office and apply for a new card with your new PR status; the new card won't have the legend on it.

Here in AZ, there's no need to inform DMV until such time that your DL will be expiring and you need to renew it anyway.

Even if they had a SS card without the legend, they should still be notified.

Also, inform your employer, especially if you were on a limited visa/ead/conditional PR before.

I'm assuming Texasjan is in Texas and if so, then yes, you need to take your GC to the DMV and get your license changed
