They are still being liberal on that. However, I would NOT put in the intials -- probably something like "U.S. Citz. & Immg. Services" will do the trick.

At the Arlington office it clearly states to make checks out to "Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Service" Now try fitting that on your check (hint: print small and very neatly!)

LOL, I remember that it wasn't too easy writing "Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Service" in such a small space and still make it legible. But BCIS cashed them so I guess they were OK.
