Please pass the word on if I'll need this form (IRS 9003) to present to my local INS
office. I haven't read any information about it and it wasn't included in my mother
lode of forms the INS sent for Adjust. of Status, etc etc.

Thanks very much for any information anyone might have!

Sincerely,

Brooks

Most do require it when you file AOS, if not then, at the interview. it's really very
short and quick to complete, and you can download fillable one from Doc Steen's site.

Form IRS 9003 was required when we adjusted status. It's an IRS form filled out by
the foreign spouse. The form title is "Additional Questions to Be Completed by All
Applicants for Permanenent Residence in the United States", and is used for tax
administration purposes. You can read more about this form at Doc Steen's site -
http://www.mindspring.com/~docsteen/...o/visainfo.htm. Accept the disclaimer,
then click on "Forms Download", then select "K-1 AOS."

Hope this helps

Hmm, I tried ordering it from the INS website last month and I received the following forms distribution information from the INS:

"It is not necessary to file IRS-9003 with I-485 Application any longer. Please disregard any instructions that state otherwise."

Good to know we can fill it out at the interview if they change their mind.

We didn't require it in NYC for our I-485 in 1998 either.
