I have some question, my e-mail freind applied I-130, K-3visa to CSC, not MSC through the lawyer.
Then she got the receipt from lawyer but the receipt number starts WAC both of them, not CSC or MSC.
I really want to know WAC.
What does WAC means?

I think the acronym stands for Western Adjudication Center, which was the old name for the California Service Center.

WAC is for Laguna Niguel, California or CSC, LIN for Lincoln, Nebraska, EAC for St. Albans, Vermont or VSC, SRC for Dallas, Texas or TSC...

I'm not sure of the meaning of the acronym, but it is the CSC. Maybe
Western Adjudications Center?

Hi:

INS used to have four administrative regions -- Eastern, Southern, Northern and Western.

In the 80's, the INS set up "Remote Adjucation Centers", one for each region, which were separate and apart from your local Districts, which still did most of the heavy lifting. The RAC's were supposed to be inaccessible to the public so they purpordetly could get work done.

The "RAC" eventuall became "Remote Service Centers" [the name is the government's joke, not mine]. But they still were Eastern, Southern, Northern and Western.

Later the regions were eliminated and they changed the name to Vermont, Texas, Nebraska and California.
