what is the status.????

Default what is the status.????

if someone arrives in the US on a B1 or a B2 and later he or she
applies for adjustment of status.....what happens to thier status as
far as BCIS /INS is concerned. are they legal till their visa expires
or are they legal even after the visa expires ( usually is for 6 mths)
.. till the time their application is approved or denied...??

You need to be more specific. You can't just apply for AOS. You need an
immigrant petition filed first. Are you talking about family or employment?

am sorry It is EMPLOYMENT based
