want to reunite
Hello everybody!
My girlfriend is a greencard holder and she lives in the USA now.I
live outside US. And we want to get merried and reunite in the USA.
So my question is:
what`s better for us- to merry in my home country(and how long will i
wait than for visa?)or maybe it`s better to apply for visitor visa and
merry in the USA???
Will be it difficult to change my visitor status to the status of
husband of a greencard holder?
Plzzz, help our love!!!!
Thank U in advance

Re: want to reunite
There is no such thing as "the status of a spouse of a green card holder".
You'll have to maintain your own status (student visa, work visa, etc) until
she gets her citizenship and can apply for your green card. So, if you get
married (or even before), start looking for a school or a company that would
wanna sponsor you for a work visa (if you qualify)
Hope that helped.
