Hi,
We are gonna do the waiverprogram. What kinda questions is the customs asking. How to
act What are the best answers. What do you have to prove, only a return-ticket,
maybe addresses? Will they check you and/or adressses out? Can they do anything if
they ONLY suspect you comin in to marry. How about lugage to carry with you, what
can you to take with you and what surtenly not.How safe is the waiverprogram?
Anything I forgot?
A girl at the INS gave me to tip to get in on the waiverprogram, she only could'nt
specify, ofcourse because of her work.
Thanks.
The Tourist.

They will ask you why you are here, how long you are staying and possibly other
general questions. Depending what they think of your answers they may ask other
stuff. If they feel you have immigrant intent they will check everything out.

Yes. If they suspect immigrant intent they can send you home. You should carry
enough luggage to be consistent with the time you are staying. If you have a return
ticket for 2 weeks bring 2 weeks worth of stuff. Do not bring elephants or large
flocks of geese.

Of course. Watch out for the Black helicopters.

What ever you do don't lie, and don't tell them more that they ask. I would suggest you check out alvena's website

If you're lucky, you'll breeze through - but know that it is consider fraudulent if
you lie on the forms and to the immigration officer and say you're planning to return
when you know ahead of time you're not.

There are four basic scenarios:
1. They don't ask you any questions about your intentions in the US and they wave
you through.
2. They ask you questions, you lie (thus commiting fraud) and they wave you through.
If there's a record of your lies, it can come back and haunt you later
3. They suspect you trying to immigrate on a "non-immigrant visa" (the visa waiver)
and they give you the chance to go home and get the correct visa for your purposes
(in this case, the K1)
4. They suspect you're trying to immigrate on a non-immigrant visa with prior
intent, charge you with fraud and ban you from entering the US at all for the
next 3 - 10 years.
It's up to you if you want to gamble.

They have only ever asked my husband, "Business or pleasure?" Maybe he just doesn't
look suspicious or nervous.

I would ask someone you may know who has came here fom your country as a tourist and
what they went through. It is possible to come here on vacation and get drunk and
wake up married in las Vegas. If that was to happen I don't see how they could send
you home ? ( wink )

Actually, it doesn't matter a fig if you lie on the forms, so long as you're
admitted.
