Hi,All,
I have a question about visas. I have a friend in Romania I would love to
come here, but,I also know it will be tough for her. My question is this:
What would be less of a hassle for her to get,te student visa,or,the
visitor visa? And,if possible, the reasons why for both? I appreciate any
info you all can give.Thanks. :0)

Both are probably about the same, because the reason for problems in
Romania is the same.
That said, a student visa is inherently more difficult because you need to
find a school, prove that you can pay the tution etc. For a visitor visa,
you just need an airline ticket and a hotel reservation (and usually not
even that).
The underlying problem with most non-immigrant visas for young women from
Romania (and some other countries) is that the consulate may suspect that
she really plans to stay in the US.
