I have a 5 year multiple entry issued in Bombay, India expiring August 23rd 2001.
They weren't issuing 10 year multiple those days.

Q. Can I apply for a visa in June hoping to get a 10 year multiple (my current visa
would still be valid then)?

What are the risks in this process?

Thanks for any response

Sure. I don't know if 10-year visas are issued to Indian citizens today; this
varies from one country to another. Since you already had a visa, chances are
you'll get it again.

That you won't have your passport if you need to travel in June. Other than that, I
don't see any particular risk.
