1. Gain experience in the UK, build a resume before applying to get a transfer.
2. Unless you know some one pretty senior in the business, your chances are bleak.
3. Nearly all the sectors where there is hiring going on, the pile of resumes one gets is astounding. I see resumes with 10-12 years experience, for positions which in 2005-6 was fit for a fresh college grad or someone from a 2-year degree and 1-2 year experience.
The suggestion for Toronto is a very good one. Explore that seriously.
