Visa Rejections
Having read many threads on this forum over the last few months it would appear that those of us applying for our green cards are a neurotic bunch of anxiety filled obsessives (i include myself).
All the stories on here appear to end with the visa being approved though.
So after all the stress about proving domicile, getting joint sponsors etc, I'd be very interested to know how many people, from this forum, who have reached the interview stage have actually had their visa applications turned down.

The ones I've seen who get turned down are mostly male applicants from Morocco or Pakistan, where the ConOff does not believe the relationship is real, and refers the case back to DOS in the USA.

Re: Visa Rejections
If someone has a visa ineligibility, they usually know about it ahead of time and retain an attorney to guide them through the process of getting a waiver for their inadmissibility (generally overstay, criminal convictions or illegal entry issues).
The number of spouse/fiancee based flat out rejection, go away & don't come back denials is quite low, especially on this forum. I've seen it elsewhere, like Rene says, with MENA country applicants who have basic red flag issues they do not address correctly, or other fraud accusations.
Don't worry about a denial, just worry about following the instructions and providing what's asked for.

Re: Visa Rejections
After firstly being way underprepared for the whole experience, all the stuff I have learnt on here has helped me get thoroughly prepared for my interview.
Having seen so many other people with pretty much the same set of circumstances as my own get approved has really helped settle my nerves a great deal.

I've pretty much been a silent compulsive British Expats reader...it's helped me just knowing there are so many other people going through what I'm going through. That said we're now in the final stages and an interview date is imminent, I found myself the other day having a major panic with the 'what if they say no' thoughts. I suppose it's only natural to be apprehensive about such a big event in our lives. Trying to remain sane through the immigration process is a challenge in itself deep breaths lol

In general a lot of it comes down to the fact that the step or steps people are taking are life changing and that you are dealing with a government and not just a person so it will always be a daunting experience
