Re: Visa Granted!!! The mysterious brown envelope
It contains everything that was ever sent or submitted in connection with the I-129F/K-1 visa. After it is taken at the POE it will eventually find its way to the INS office you will be using for AOS and will become part of your permanent INS file.

Everything: the original petition, all documents submitted to the consulate, the
medical exam report...in essence, the whole ball of wax. Alvena

Congratulations April!
Just to put a personal spin on this happy ending, I'm really glad when I read posts
of U.S. citizen's whose fiancé(e) comes from the Africa continent - mine inclued.
So far I've read stories in this NG about loved ones coming from Ghana, Zambia,
Guinea, Morocco, Nigeria, Kenya, Guinea-Bissau, South Africa and Tanzania and the
majority of those have received a happy k1 ending. ("Sandy" whose fiancé comes from
Ghana and "Kate", who I know personally whose fiancé comes from Nigeria, each had
their I-129/K-1petition imposed with an "administrative review" which is basically a
death sentence for the relationship.) And it's a fact that these relationships
are/were legitimate.
Anyway, the only reason we were able to secure a k1 visa was due to the help of this
NG and receiving assistance from those who fiancée(s) came from Africa for which I am
forever grateful.
All the best to you and your future husband.
Omo.

Re: Visa Granted!!! The mysterious brown envelope
what is "administrative review"? How does one get that? I am beginning to get
worried.
