Here's an article for you to read before leaving: Arriving In America: Navigating the POE

sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, was looking at that link "arriving in america"

it says:

On the flight, you do not need to complete an I-94 (white card) although the flight attendant may try to force one on you. Tell them that you are moving to the US and don't need one.
If you fly in on a K1 visa i thought instead of the green form you had to fill out the white one?

Yes, an arriving K-1 must fill out the white card (I-94). Perhaps because the K-1 is a non-immigrant visa? The OP received a CR-1 immigrant visa. Perhaps the Immigrant Visa does not need to fill out an I-94 because it's an immigrant visa (as opposed to the K-1 non-immigrant visa).

Yes, but I wrote that for people arriving with Immigrant Visas (CR/IR etc). Those folks don't fill in any card because they are admitted as PRs when they arrive.

Ks still must complete the white I-94 card for their initial, limited entry.
