My fiance, now wife, went thru Vancouver and it was a breeze. They were really nice and
walked her thru the process. We had to email them on a couple of occassions and they were
really good about getting back to us. We sent the necessary forms from packet 3 back via
same day courier, they received on a friday, my fiance had her appointment letter the next
Tuesday.........we requested that the interview happen prior to a specific date and they
granted it........

I didn't use a lawyer..and i went thru Blaine. I was issued a 90 day work permit and it
took a total of about 15 minutes for the whole process. Even took my car with me and my
cats they were only worried about a plant i brought..thats it. C

Did you use the Peace Arch crossing or the truck crossing? I've only been thru the truck
crossing myself (on the Greyhound, many, many times) and found the immigration guys to be
rather dour....I'm coming from the island and am actually thinking of using Anacortes as
my POE, but I've no idea what immigration would be like there. Cheers,
MLR.

I like this post. It gave me visions of Trucks crossing a bridge followed by a large
Greyhound on which is seated MLR holding the reins. I then misread Anacortes as Anaconda
and then pictured him on a large snake. I would like to see the look on the INS Dudes face
if you turned up riding a frigging great big snake.

Did you go to a doctor after the escort-makes-venison incident ? Sometimes the effects of
a concussion (or some internal injury to the brain) are delayed.
