Default US Immigration Pre-Clearence for Dublin flights via London?

I know you can pre-clear US immigration on some flights departing from Dublin, but does anyone know if this is restricted to direct flights? Do flights going via London, for example, offer this service? Presumably you'd be in transit in London, but I'd be interested to know if you can still pre-clear US immigration in Dublin, if anyone knows the answer.

Thanks!

It's restricted to direct flights only.

Yea this is only for direct flights. If your Aerlingus flight to the USA happens to go from Dublin to the USA via Shannon, you still have to get off at Shannon clear img. then get back on the same plane, even the same seat that you just got out of some times! As soon as you go through img. in either dublin or Shannon you can't leave the gate till you get on your direct flight for the US
