US cit. marrying Canadian, moving back to US
I am a US citizen and Canadian permanent resident living in Toronto. I
might be moving back to the US soon with my fiancee, and I'm concerned about
the best way to get her into the country. (I will be a dual citizen soon,
so I'm only concerned about her now.)
Should we apply for a fiancee visa, then move in and get married? Should we
get married in Canada, then I'll move her in as my wife? Or should we get
married in the US on a vacation there (as opposed to getting married in
Canada), then move her in at a later date as my wife? Which is
easier/quicker? What forms do I need? How long will it take? (Is getting
married to her in the US on vacation even possible without a special form?)
Also, if we just move to the US and get married and stay, how long can she
stay without any trouble? How long can a Canadian stay just as a visitor
(without a special visa)? Will she need a visitor visa to stay longer? Can
all the various applications be done in the US while she's there as a
visitor?
And will her eventual green card allow her to just stay in the US or work
there too?
Thanks to all who answer this long message.

Since a greencard holder is a US permanent resident, yes, she can work
