The new employer uses Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC in Lexington KY

Does anyone know them, and are they any good?

So far they are progressing as advised in this thread with the H-1B and at the same time the permanent residence.

I have asked that they use the "premium processing" option at $1,225 extra, even if it means that I cover the cost.

The new company will pay my current company to keep me on this power plant until the H-1B is issued.

Stoll Keenon Ogden is one of those largish "national" firms with 145 lawyers and immigration is a small part of their practice. I know of one person in the firm who does immigration, Charles Baesler. I can't say that I know him.

[BTW, immigration often tends to be the province of "boutique" firms and big firms refer the stuff out.]

Charles Baesler assisted by Masako Hashimoto are dealing with my application.

It is the H-1B and PERM filing that they are processing.

Once again thanks to all for the advice given.

I have a few additional queries I'm hoping you could help with.

The H-1B and PERM is being processed simultaneously.

I've been told that I can remain in the US only until mid December 2015 even after taking employment with the new company on 1st October 2015 on the H-1B, because that's the time remaining on my L1 visa. That would mean I'd need to leave the US from mid December until February-March next year when the PERM case is expected to become current.

My L1 was issued on 22 September 2008, and I first entered the US on 8 June 2009
My records show that I've been outside the US for a total of 200 days - the attorney is saying that I can remain until 13 December 2015 - do they have this date correct?

Questions:
1) Is the H-1B limited to the remaining time on the current L1 visa?
2) If we get the H1-B visa application in on 1 April and pay the $1225 expediting fee, when can I expect confirmation that the application was successful, or otherwise?
3) What is the latest date that I can remain in the US given the number of days spent outside the US since first entry (see dates attached)?

Thanks again,
Ron.
