I got my h1b extension approved for 3 years from oct 1st 2011 to sep 30th 2014.
I got my old visa on passport till sep 30th 2011.
My Question is :
Can i go to india on aug1st 2011 and come back to US on sep 7th 2011, before my old visa expires and without getting new visa stamped.

I concur with Ian.

Be sure to present your most recent I-797 approval showing the new petition date so they can issue you an I-94 to the correct date. The I-94 attached to the new I-797 is replaced by the new one issued at the next entry. If you don't show the new petition, they may admit you until the old petition date on the visa and then you'd have to get that fixed.

Check your documents carefully before you leave the border crossing.

The visa only has to be valid on the date of entry.
