Wartime Identity cards were abolished in Britain in Feb 1952. There is
no such thing as a UK National Identification Number (remember this form
is designed for almost any country in the world). So leave it blank or
write 'None'

Squire et al,
My fiancée is a Taiwanese national, currently working in the UK. Does she
enter the National ID number (from Taiwan) or leave it blank? We'll be
using the London Consulate.

Leave it blank. There have been several attempts on this newsgroup to
determine exactly what this number is and none, to my knowledge, have
been successful. In addition, it seems to me that a form used by US
immigration would not request a non-US id number of any kind. (What
could they check it against?)
