TN renewal
Please correct me if I'm wrong on the following
1. for mail "extension" of TN, application must be postmarked before TN expires
2. while waiting for "extention" by mail, I am granted an 3 month temporary
extension and can exit and return to US (How to you prove at the POE that you
have submitted an extension?)
3. If I renew my TN at the POE, I can mail my wife's TD "extension" application
within 10 days of my renewal, providing that her TD does not expire.
Thanks Michal

The TN must arrive at the Nebraska Service centre before your TN expires.

No, absolutely not. You are permitted about 240 days to continue in your employment.
If you leave the USA, your extension request is considered abandoned.

Probably, although it may cause problems since Sep. 11 as any period considered out
of status may result in having to get a new entry visa.

Re: TN renewal
Thanks Stuart,
So, considering that the last day my TN is valid is June 25 th (Tues), I would need
to have it arrive Tues. If so, that means I have to use a courier service like FedEx
instead of the INS preferred USPS, to send the application out Mon morning to have it
arrive Tue. Correct?
I've read from multiple posts that INS only accepts USPS as proof of delivery.
