TN before degree comes in the mail

I will be finishing my last courses for a mechanical engineering degree in the spring. I
have a job offer from a company that would like me to start ASAP. Is there anyway I could
get a TN before I have my physical degree (actually before I even know my marks in my last
courses). I have 3.5 of 4 years completed, and 32 months engineering related work
experience (co-op work terms).
Any good ways to get around this?
Also, how much proof is required for the 'intention to return to Canada' part of a TN.
Does the job offer have to have some kind of expiry on it?
