Default TN-1 renewal at Mexican border?

Hi,

My TN-1 visa is due for renewal. It's just 20 minutes drive to the
Mexican border from where I am. Would I be able to get a TN-1 renewal
there, or I have to go back to US/Canada border?

Thanks.

Technically, you should be able to, but I personally never tried, and
don't know if anyone ever try.

Anyway, it's only 20 minutes; please try out, and post back your
result.

One more thing, sometime even USCIS officers don't know all the laws,
and regulations, you might want to print out some TN docs, and give
them to the officers, so they don't have to run around checking with
their supervisors, or make phone calls. I did that numerous times, and
the officers have always been very appreciative.

And, it is not a renewal. It is a NEW TN ... so bring all required
docs: degree(s), transcripts, employment letters, as when you applied
last year.
