Support and Police record, 6 months?

Can someone just confirm that the police certificate and affidavit of support for
interview are valid for 6 months from date of issue?
I was looking at my police certificate and it would hit 6 months 5 days -after- my
interview date. Therefore, it is just within that 6 months. The affidavit of support
will be about 4 months old when I go for interview.
I had a look on the embassy website and couldn't find what I was looking for.
