Strange FP experience in Detroit

I did my I-485 fingerprinting today. The strange thing was that my wife was
fingerprinted in the front room on those big machines without ink. But my prints were
taken in the back room with ink on paper.
Does anybody know why they were taken differently? Can this mean increased
probability for delaying the I-485 approval? It seems so to me because the prints
from the machines will probably be sent electronically immediatelly while the paper
will have to be mailed to FBI. If so, the information returned to INS from FBI will
not be found together and it it is more likelly somebody will have to work harder to
approve our applications, ergo higher probability for problems.
Any oppinions?
