Default Staying in Montreal

Does anyone know of a hotel near the Montreal embassy? All of the hotels I called were $100/night and up. I don't want to spend that much. Anyone know of anything cheaper?

The only things that really matter are how close the hotel is to the embassy and if they have good showers. Other than that, I don't really care how fancy (or run-down) the room is. Any help would be much appreciated.

Even though they are a competitor to my industry,). a quick source of info might be looking at Hotels.com. IF you can look at the Embassy website and get a map, then you can look on Hotels.com website and match as best possible the locale. I did look myself and saw some for 60 bucks a night, how close they might be to the Embassy i don't know, BUT they were downtown..........Normally Best Westerns, Comfort Inns, Holiday Inn Express etc are pretty reasonable. Although I saw a Radisson for a really good price.

In November we stayed at the Four Points Sheraton in Montreal at $80.00 cdn
per night mid week. It was a 10 minute walk to the Embassy. Prices are
always reflected though on what season it is or how booked the hotel is!
Good luck!

Try looking around these sites:

If I can recall, we stayed at a Travelodge (about 15 minute walk from the
Embassy) and it was dirt cheap at the time.
