Does any one know how long of stay period is allowed at LOS ANGELES, port of
entry, with B1/B2 visa.

Unless you've given them reason to give you less, you should get 6
months at any port.

In theory. Several ports seem to give only 30 days nowadays despite
regulations to the contrary. Unfortunately, I don't know whether LA is
among them.

what about Dulles airport in DC? Are they generally strict there?

The law requires them to give you the full period unless the stay is
limited on the basis of the authority of the district director,
supposedly on a case by case basis. THe district director usually seems
to hand down that authority to the port supervisor.
It is hard to know who's doing what where given that this is not
following their directives.

It is hard to know who's doing what where given that this is not
