SSN new or continued on 2nd H1-b?
We lived in NYC for 4 years on a H1-b and H4 visas which have now expired and have been back in the UK for 2 years.
We are moving back in a few months, again on H1-b and H4 visas. Will my husband be given a new social security number, or will they reuse his old one. If we have a choice, is there any benefit to reusing the old one? Is this the same for my ITIN?

Ok thanks, I thought it was for life only if you were permanent residents not temporary residents.
