Default Social Security agents

Holy zimmer frames grampsman, they've got guns!

The Social Security Administration has responded to queries about it's recent purchase of ammunition for its agents.

This might be of interest to anyone considering to 'accidently forget' about details of their UK State pension when applying for US Social Security.

From the second article:
"Next time you sign a Social Security form, pay attention to that stern warning at the bottom about the penalties for lying on the form. If you ever wondered if that was really a crime, now you know. Making a false statement to Social Security is one of the crimes that our agents investigate."

(no, I don't really expect an armed officer at your door.....well, probably not.....well, are you still one of those 'socialist foreigners'?)

It could simply be that, when the actuaries find that people in general are living too long, they send out the agents to pay house-calls on long-standing SS recipients...?

Thanks. It's a bit rich though, I didn't even start collecting my SS yet! So Obama wouldn't take no for an answer, introduced Death Panels by executive fiat.
