I wrote a letter to Senator Schumer yesterday asking for help with my
stalled N-400 application. Anyone know how long the turnaround time is
before they inquire on my behalf?? Also will they contact me and
reveal the outcome of the request?

In my case, after I sent a signed release form to my congressman, it took
about three weeks for them to find out what was going on. The congressman's
office called me to let me know where INS was at, etc. etc. In fact from
that time on, the congressman's office called me to inform me about EVERY
single decision made by INS and every time INS sent me a letter (letter for
fingerprint appt, letter for N-400 interview). In other words, things start
movin' fast once the Congressperson or Senator gets involved... Hope this
