Is §245(i) over, or is the government just giving us time to catch our breath after
four frantic months of preparing and submitting thousands of applications?
Today, the day after the deadline for filing petitions and applications to qualify
for benefits under §245(i), President Bush, in a letter to House Democratic Minority
Leader Richard Gephardt, expressed support for a temporary extension of §245(i).
