I am not sure what I should do. I am self- employed and I took a 2 1/2 year vacation.
I have only worked a few months in 2000 and made $19,000 or so. I sold everything a
few years back and traveled. ( long story ) but I have no bank account and the last
year I showed making any money prior to 2000 was in 1998 and that years taxes I can
show $64,000. At this time I Am trying to get my fiancee here on a K-1 visa. Will I
need a co-sponsor because I haven't shown any income 2 of the previous 3 years ?
Thanks in advance !

I believe the Affadavit of Support states that if you cannot show income tax returns
for all 3 years you must write a letter explaining why you cannot for 2 of the years.
The one they look at most seriously is the most recent, which you made $19,000. So I
don't think you will need a co-sponsor if you're trying to make enough for a
household size of 2 which is only $14,062. Hope this helps.
