I am Canadian and my fiancee/husband (US) will be filing for I-130 when he returns to his
home state after we get married in Canada. I was wondering whether it would make a big
difference if, when he files the I-130, I am down there living with him , or is it a
better idea for me to stay in Canada and wait for the approval here?

I suggested before and am doing so again, you should read the FAQ and relevant websites.
In particular Alvena Hyde's for the I-485 and I-130. If you marry in Canada and he returns
to the US for filing the I-130 with you in Canada it is unlikely that you will be allowed
into the US even to visit with him. Unless and until the new K-3 visas are enacted you are
more or less stuck in Canada without your husband.
