Default Redesigning USCIS.gov

On September 22nd a redesigned USCIS.gov web site will be launched to help customers navigate the immigration system and remain up-to-date regarding their case status.

In response to customer feedback, from March to June 2009, USCIS conducted focus group discussions, usability tests, and surveys regarding general functionality of the website with a broad cross-section of users. Participants ranged from national & local stakeholders to customers and visitors to USCIS.gov.

Based on the findings, a design has been approved and is currently in development. The improved design of USCIS.gov follows four core principles:

I hope they're using a better definition of "vastly improved" than the last time they did a 'vast improvement'.

Agreed! To be fair, the mock-up they have suggests that it actually will be a bit more user friendly! Time will tell.
