Default Questions about H1 transfer

Hi

I've read this but still have a few questions
http://www.immihelp.com/visas/h1b/h1...nsfer-faq.html

Can a H1 transfer occur at any time of the year (as opposed to the initial issuing of the H1) and how long does it take on average?

Can a H-1 transfer be denied? If so, does that affect the original H1?
- Suppose a H1 was issued to work for company X, then company Y issue a job offer and apply for a H1 transfer but it is denied, can working for company X with the original H1 continue with company X unaware a H1 transfer was ever applied for?

TIA

... and how long does it take on average?
Usually only a few weeks. You can transfer once the application is accepted... you don't need to wait until it's approved.

Can a H-1 transfer be denied?
Yes.

If so, does that affect the original H1?
No.

Arrange a consultation with an immigration lawyer other than the one who handled the initial H-1b.

There is much in the way of facts that you do not give and may not want to disclose on a public forum.

Good luck.
