My birth certificate is from Brunei. My birth certificate, itself, is in English with
the accompanying Malaysian translation printed right onto the birth certificate. All
of my information on it is in English. Do I still need a translation of the Malaysian
portions on my birth certificate if they already came with the English translation
printed onto the birth certificate? Thanks.

I see no reason to have a separate translation, perhaps someone from your country
will respond also, however. The consulate is likely to be familiar with these
certificates, also, I think.

I would say no, based on my experience. Reinhard's from Austria and got an
"international" birth certificate. Everything was in German, but with translations on
back from German to English for all of the categories (actually, English, French,
Spanish etc.) We didn't do any translations.
If it's already in English, then it's ok.
