Default Question.. .I'm starting the process, should I get a lawyer?

I've just received the DS-3032 (Choice of Agent) form. Can anyone
tell me...

1. The form has an expiration date of October this year - does this
mean I have up to October to return the form?

2. After I return the form, how long will it take to get
through the process and get to the step of 'Receive Visa'

3. Does it make any difference if I do the whole process myself or
should I hire an immigration consultant/ lawyer? (I live in Canada)

4. Is there any way I can delay the process? I want to move to the
US, but preferably a few years down the road...

Thanks if you can help answer my questions...

I did everything myself, for my H1 and my Green Card. It's worth buying a
good book to guide you. I have 'Destination USA', but it's now out of date
on some of the details. I don't know if there is a more recent edition.
Maybe someone else on this group would know?

I agree, I bought a $20 book too, no lawyer is needed as you only have to
file a few forms and do as they say.
