Default Processing Times For An E2

Does anyone know how long it's taking the U.S. Embassy in London to process an E2 application nowadays?

my E2 was lodged nov 30th and it was returned mid feb, which is very good, however the waiting time for the interview at the embassy has gone from 2 weeks to 2 months now, all in all you should expect about 6 months from lodging to interview date.

Can I ask what business you are buying into? We are looking at getting an E2 visa but really struggling to fine tune what business we want!?!?!

Another option for us is the E5 Visa?

London just came out with some new E-2 onfo on their site. See:

http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/niv/e.html

Generally speaking, processing for an E-2 out of London is usually a 2-4 month process depending on the facts of a particular case.

Are you purchasing an existing business or starting up a new business? How much do you plan to invest?

For more info on the E-2 see:

The EB-5 program is an investor option for permanent residency. For information on the EB-5 option to invest $500,000 in pre-approved projects see:

I have bought a dog grooming business as that is what i do here and have done for some time, i wanted to make sure it was a business i knew i could run well and also expand on as i also teach dog grooming. You really need a business you know, as so many small businesses go under, the business needs to make upward of $70,000 per year profit, which is hard to maintain if you are trying to run a business you do not understand. What is your field? or maybe you could profit from a hobby you have, by turning it into a business.
