Default Processing time updates and I751

Looks like all the processing centers have updated their dates, and are processing I751's from July 17th 2006. However, I filed on July 6th to NSC and there has been no update to my online status since biometrics in October. The customer service automated line didnt have a new update either. How common is this, anybody else file in the same time frame waiting to hear back?

Yes. The online updates and processing times are not reliable.

Best Wishes,

Hi,

we filed the I-751 for my wife in June of 06 ,at NSC, we still havent heard back from them , excpet for the NOA. We plan on making the infopass appointment this week to get some kind of update on her I-751 application.

Hi:

It pays to remember that Service Center does one of two things -- it either approves the case or it refers the case to your local district. In my experience, the Service Centers do NOT give notice that the case has been referred.

InfoPass will tell you if this has been done or not.

BTW, it pays to remember that one REMAINS a permanent resident while an I-751 is pending. If you get to your third anniversery of admission as a conditional resident [minus 90 days], you are free to file for naturalization!

In fact, this often has the effect of speeding up process of the 751 at local districts.

Its somewhat ironic that after I posted the question my case status was updated today saying "card production ordered" and I got three identical email updates from USCIS saying the same.
Sounds like an approval, and information for others who have filed I751's at NSC around the same time (early July 06)

This is what I'm planning on doing; I think its why I'm really not too fussed about where my I-751 is. For those interested, I filed on August 28th with the Texas Service Center, had Biometrics 3 weeks later, no news yet. If it turns up it, it turns up, if not, I'm applying for ctizenship come August 9th anyway.

If the new GC doesn't turn up, I assume the only thing I'll need to get is a new letter (via infopass, presumably) that says your residency status has been extended further than the one year as per the previous letter.

Even tried explaining that to an overzealous traffic cop?
