Default Priority date question

Hi all,

As a lot of you know, I am waiting for my i485 to be approved now and hence waiting for an interview date.
On the receipt notice, I have a priority date of june 6th 2018 however current visa bulletins show "Current" fo my employment based visa class.
Is the receipt notice PD of any significance? If not, why do they include it on there?

Thanks

It only really becomes important if a particular visa category is oversubscribed, here's a good description of how visa retrogression works:

How's everything going with your case?

Thanks Millski.

So I got my i140 approved end of Jan 2019. Fingerprints done Feb 1st 2019. EAD/AP card received mid Feb but unfortuantely no movement on i485. I'm on EB2 PERM (US chargeabiliy) with TSC Field Office. I believe I need to be transferred to NBC at some point but no movement what so ever. Feel like this will be a long waiting game ....

What is ”US chargeabiliy”, I thought that was based on your country of birth? If you were born in the US your would not need a visa unless your parents were diplomats here when your were born here etc.
