premium h1b transfer question
Hello Experts:
Please let me know if applying for premium h1b transfer to a non profit organization requires a $1000 fees along with the regular $130 or is the $1000 waived.

Premium processing still costs $1000. Right now, I wouldn't bother with
it. If the H-1B is exempt from the quota, it will likely be approved
quickly anyway because USCIS isn't very busy with H-1Bs. And if it is not
exempt, then of course it would be pointless to get an approval in three
weeks.

commentary in immigration lawyer newsletters (maybe Murthy or ILW) have
commented on there will be an unknown backlog of H1 application and that
there might be merit in getting the H1-B authorized as soon as possible as
long as it is less than 6 months before employment is to start but after
October 1.
