Does my fiance need the 2d NOA for the interview? Also, once my fiance is in the US,
should she get her Social Security Number B4 we get married?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, you need the second NOA for the AOS interview. Your fiancée can get her Social
Security Number with her K-1 visa before you get married or she can apply after you
file your I-485 package and application for an EAD card. Take Care. Shelley

Since the only ID she would have before you are married would be in her maiden name,
she would have to get a card in her maiden name. After you are married, she would
need to bring a copy of your marriage license to change her name on her SS card. Take
Care. Shelley

I would say you need to clarify your question. Your fiancee does not need you to mail
the 2nd NOA to her to take to the interview. This is the way I interpreted it.
You need to have gotten the 2nd NOA already, but you don't need it at the actual
interview. Keep it at home in a safe place.
The consulate will know you've got a 2nd NOA because they will have your I-129F
petition in their hands for the interview.

That's what I needed to know! My fiance received her packet, but I never received
the 2 NOA.

You need to get a copy of the NOA in order to file AOS.

Hi All!
Here he comes to save the day. LOL
She is going to need proof of age, identity, legal alien status and Form SS-5
to be issued a Social Security number (SSN). Might be a good idea to get a copy
of EM-00154.
Get Form SS-5 here:
http://www.ssa.gov/online/ss-5.html
If she is over 18 she will need to apply in person at a Social Security office. Find
your local office here:
http://s3abaca.ssa.gov/pro/fol/fol-home.html
So that would be birth certificate and passport with unexpired K-1 stamp. If her
passport has your last name your good to go to be issued a SSN card with your last
name. If not, going to use name that is on passport.
Now once you get married and she does have your last name. She will need to apply for
a corrected SSN card. To get a corrected SSN card due to a name change she will need
one document with her current name and one with the name currently on her SSN record
or one document that shows both and proof of legal alien status.
Now this is where it gets tricky if the K-1 has expired. If the K-1 has expired she
is not going to be issued a corrected SSN until the office gets word from INS of her
status. If the K-1 has not expired she can get the corrected card with the marriage
certificate and her passport with the unexpired K-1 stamp.
Should have a card in about 7 working days, but she should be able to call
1-800-772-1213 after about 3 or 4 and find out what the SSN is over the phone.
Take care,
Mike
